Appearance, Language, and Time Zone
Personal display settings: light or dark theme, high contrast, reduced motion, your interface language, and the time zone your dates and due times are shown in.
Updated September 15, 2026
These settings are per person, not per organization. Changing yours affects your account only; nobody else sees a different app because you switched to dark mode.
Appearance
Open Settings, then Appearance.
- Theme: Light, Dark, or Match system, which follows your operating system setting and switches with it. If you work between a bright plant room and a dim office, Match system is usually the right answer.
- High contrast: strengthens borders and text contrast throughout the interface. Worth turning on for screens used in daylight, not just for accessibility needs.
- Reduce motion: suppresses interface animation and transitions. Turn it on if animation causes discomfort, or if you work over a remote desktop session where animation makes everything feel slow.
Language
Open Settings, then Locale. The interface is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, and Arabic.
Your organization can set a default language, which applies to anyone who has not chosen their own. Once you pick a language, your choice wins and the org default no longer applies to you.
This changes the interface only. It does not translate your data. Asset names, work-order descriptions, your own procedures, and everything else your team has typed stay in the language they were written in.
Time zone
Also under Locale. This governs how dates and times are displayed to you: when a work order was created, when a PM is due, when an SLA expires.
It matters more than it looks on a multi-site portfolio. A due date that reads as 5pm Friday to a scheduler in London reads as 9am Friday to a technician in California: the same moment on two clocks. If your team argues about whether something was late, mismatched time zones are the first thing to check. Set it once, honestly, to where you actually work.
