Complete Your Profile
Learn how to fill in your name, email, time zone, phone, and profile photo so assignments, mentions, notifications, and reports work correctly.
Updated September 15, 2026
Your profile anchors how Rivolq handles assignments, mentions, notifications, and reports. Completing it takes about three minutes and saves confusion later.
Where to find it
Go to Settings, then Profile (the gear icon in the sidebar). The profile section is the first tab and opens by default.
What to fill in
- Full name. This is what teammates see on assignments, comments, and signed-off reports. Use the name you go by at work, not a nickname; "Tech 1" and "Maintenance" make assignments unreadable.
- Email. Your login and the destination for digests, mention notifications, and password resets. Changing it later requires a confirmation code at both the old and new address. Use your work email; personal emails create access headaches when employees roll off.
- Time zone. Timestamps are stored in UTC and shown in your local zone, so due dates, schedules, and the daily digest depend on this being correct.
- Phone (optional). Used only for urgent SMS alerts if your organization has SMS enabled. It is never shared externally.
Profile photo
Upload a photo from the Profile photo row, or replace or remove it later from the same place. Rivolq accepts JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP images up to 5 MB. Photos are stored privately and shown to your team through signed links, not permanent public URLs. If you do not upload a photo, Rivolq shows your initials in a colored circle.
What it enables
Once complete, you appear in assignee dropdowns on work orders and PMs, mention autocomplete in comments, the team roster under Settings, then Team, and activity logs and audit trails. An incomplete profile still appears, but with placeholder text that shows up in screenshots, exported reports, and customer-facing emails.
Next steps
Set notification preferences at the same time: the Notifications tab next to Profile controls digest cadence, mention emails, and which assignment events page you. Then complete the rest of the Getting started checklist in the bottom-right of your dashboard, invite your team, and enroll in multi-factor authentication, which is strongly recommended for any account with admin access.
