Reviewing Parsed Rooms and Plan Readiness
Read the plan-readiness panel, work through detected room candidates with Link, Create location, Rename, Ignore, Reject, or Delete, and draw the rooms the parser missed.

What the parser does
Room parsing is included on Professional and above. When a plan is uploaded with room parsing enabled, Rivolq reads the retained PDF source and detects room shapes, labels, and wall geometry using page geometry and a local text-recognition pass; nothing about your drawings is sent to a model. Detected rooms are evidence to review, not a map to trust. Scanned sheets, raster-only exports, and messy drawings produce misses and low-confidence shapes, which is why review exists.
Parse states
The banner above the plan shows Parsing queued and Building structured rooms while it runs; Review room candidates when shapes are ready; Reconcile rooms before pinning when candidates are unreviewed; Align existing rooms before pinning when tree rooms are missing; Auto-detect failed, with Retry parse, when the parser errored; Plan needs manual rooms when the drawing cannot be parsed; and Rooms reconciled when every candidate is aligned.
The plan-readiness panel
The heading reads Structure aligned when the plan is ready and Reconciliation needed when it is not. Four counts sit underneath.
- Linked is shapes matched to an existing location or turned into a new one.
- Needs review is shapes still pending a decision. Anything above zero is why the plan is not ready.
- Not on plan counts tree rooms not found on this drawing. A room genuinely absent from the sheet sits here permanently, and that is fine.
- Dismissed is shapes you rejected or ignored.
The six decisions
Select a shape and choose one. Link when the detected room is already in your tree. Create location when the plan found a real room your hierarchy is missing. Rename when the label is close but wrong; parsed labels come from text on the drawing and are often stale. Ignore when the shape is harmless but should not become a location, such as a corridor. Reject when the shape is not a real room, such as a title block. Delete when the shape should leave the review entirely. Deleting a shape does not move pins or assets.
The Suggestions panel lists parsed rooms alongside ranked candidate locations; clicking a candidate confirms the mapping. A shape whose label could not be read shows as Unlabeled room; the geometry is usually still good, so link it or name and create it.
Drawing rooms by hand
Where auto-detection misses or fails, use Draw rooms: draw the polygon, label it, and link it to a location. Manual rooms are worth as much as detected ones once linked. Once no candidates are pending, pin assets against the plan: see Placing and managing asset pins.
